I know the Hawkesbury like the back of my hand, in my years birding the Hawkesbury I have seen 258 different species. The Hawkesbury River flood plains and surrounds is a critical environment for many Australian bird species, making it the number one birding location in Sydney. Full day tours cost $400 maximum 3 people. Prefer another area, for the same fee a tour can be arrange anywhere from the Central Coast to Wollongong, from Long Reef Headland to the Blue Mountains. Newcastle and Capertee Valley $550.
